The perfect end to a dinner with friends, just add a dollop of Greek yoghurt or vanilla icecream.
6 Ballarat Apples
100g softened butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup sultanas or chopped dates
3 tsp ground cinnamon
½ c water
Core the apples and score the skin to prevent them from bursting open during cooking, and place in a baking dish. Mix together 50g of the butter, sugar, sultanas/dates and cinnamon. Fill the centre of the apples. Dot over remaining butter and pour over the water.
Bake at 180c for 30-40 minutes or until the apples are tender. (cooking time will vary on size and variety of apple)
